Russ Towne's A Grateful Man

I just read a quote that I hadn’t read before from Gina’s wonderful that I really like and that led to this post. (The best quotes get me to thinking, feeling, and doing.)

Someone asked the Dalai Lama, “Why didn’t you fight back against
 the Chinese?” The Dalai Lama said with a gentle smile, “Well, war is obsolete, you know.” Then, his face grave, he said,

“Of course the mind can rationalize fighting back… but the heart, the heart would never understand. Then you would be divided in yourself, the heart and the mind, and the war would be inside you.” –Dalai Lama

WOW! I believe that happens a lot to soldiers and many come back torn apart by their own internal struggle, the internal war they were fighting the whole time they were deployed.
